2 and 1/2 weeks before the holiday for me. Can't wait! (I thought I'd kick us off with a positive thought!).

... I can't believe I still read it as "the ultimate threat to post anything". It seems to be my brain's default setting. I am looking forward to my mother-in-law arriving on Sunday. We haven't seen her for a year and she is desperate to see her grandchild. She will stay
for a month - wish me luck |

"the ultimate threat to post anything".
Great to hear about your mother-in-law's visit (no irony). I've never had problems with my mother-in-law although we couldn't be more different. I hardly know anybody who complains about her mother-in-law. They're vital as most of us are working moms. It's as if the old cliché doesn't work as a self-fulfilling prophecy anymore. I'm sure it would be easier if she had a room or flat of her own. Does she stay in your flat?
We must be still and still moving / Into another intensity

But one month is an awfully long time. Good luck with the whole thing, Vik.

Piping in here about the last few posts on the former THREAT thread....that Cathedral...while a tad ornate...is at least making a statement...here...we have 'Churches??' that are built of temporary parts....they look like...metal based...garages....with, sometimes...a pitched roof...not always... Jas...that last pix of yourself..smoking the cigar....lovely :-) Actually, I have to say...as I am quickly approaching 49 Returning to news at my job....one of our Nurses resigned yesterday.... Yes that is the 3rd resignation....but this one is very welcomed. though it will be interesting and hectic and exhausting for the next several months.....some things are a blessing. Not sure why there is such a gap between my sentences...can't correct it for some reason....

Yes, it's like looking in a mirror. Apparently scientists never get tired of measuring things you don't expect to be measured. They can now measure happiness, and it turns out to be directly related to living in an area that is wealthy, tolerant, and full of well-educated people. What a surprise. Here are the top 10 states and their average well-being scores (out of a possible 100 points):

Had a second interview at the place where I want to do my internship. I don't know how it went... fingers crossed. Answer on Tuesday.
Went to see a fantastic play yesterday, the sort of play that reminds me why I like the theatre... but it lasted 3h40, interval NOT included, and as a result, I got home really late and am today knackered, so I'm being negative about everything!
