The article is online but unfortunately the photo isn't. The first few paragraphs are quite fun - I certainly hadn't made any connection between Ophelia and Diana, nor between Enemy of the People and Jaws. http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2009/jul/11/drama-edgar-plays-theatre

The idea of Brecht and Ibsen changing play is a great way to tell about the structure of time; I don't know if David Edgar teaches, but he's got what it takes to become an inspiring teacher.

I thought this was quite an interesting point too: In great drama, however, a perfect fit is the last thing you want. Clive James identifies what he calls the "jobswap" principle of great comedy: the simple technique of inserting a character into a profession for which they are temperamentally unsuited. In Much Ado About Nothing, Dogberry is not a good judge; in The Office, David Brent is a terrible manager. Basil Fawlty might do many things well, but he shouldn't be running a hotel.
