I think his manager/handlers probably realized that anybody encouraging Michael's obsession with Peter Pan would not coincide with his reputation as the King of Pop. I just wish a lot of people who are now speaking out about their friendships with Jackson, encounters with Jackson etc had come to his defense when he was fighting for his life at the last trial. I only remember his family showing up every day. All the people who spoke or performed at the memorial....Where were they when he was on trial? When he was finally acquitted he felt the need to leave the country.....I am sure he must have felt unwanted by the public.....but probably the entertainment business as well. What it must have felt like to feel judged and unwanted after you have given your whole life to entertain the public. There was an interview he did just before the trial where he said that after Police had raided his house and particularly his bedroom........he felt he could never go back to Neverland Ranch because they had turned a place of joy in a place of pain for him. It's just so sad.....
PS: I think Michael does fly in one of his concert tours. It may have been some kind of rocket contraption.
Edited to add: Well it looks like he may used some of Nunn's idea after all. I have found a YouTube link to the flying stunt and indeed it's at the end of "Man in the Mirror" here . It's from the "Dangerous Tour" which was his next tour after "Bad". Coincidence? I don't think so.
