BTW, I did some research and apparently you can order "Another Magazine" from their site. It's only 10 pounds!

You really give me the impression that every day there is something new on tv with RA! Is that so? I am jealous...

Edit to add: Well, technically, RH is on every week but the finale is coming soon. And the dvd will be on sale soon after. I'm only catching up with all of his many shows/movies. If you ever have a hankering to watch other RA shows/movies, I'll send you a disk.

Eva, you're the best! Thank you for the info on the magazine.
You really give me the impression that every day there is something new on tv with RA! Is that so? I am jealous... I think this is the difference between film actors and tv actors. A film actor generally makes, on average, one film a year whereas someone like Richard Armitage not only has two tv serial dramas running through spring and autum but still fits in the odd one-off drama inbetween and narrates documentaries, audio books etc. Edited to add that having read back what I've just written, it sounds a bit simplistic making that distinction between film and television actors. After all, Ralph manages to make films and fit in stage work, charity work etc. The point I was trying to make is that tv work generally has a faster turnaround. D xx

Well, it's nice with TV actors that there's something to look forward to every week.

Hello Evelyn. I've just got back from a couple of days in London (mum's hosp appointment) and I've missed the forum so just wanted
to catch up on the news.
I'm off to bed in a minute but thought what better way to go than to share the latest picture that's causing quite a stir on the AA forum - just look at the beautiful detail on his costume: Good night, sweet dreams. D xx

Well, it's a good thing that Edward is involved in many causes and is out and about more than other film actors. Next public appearence expected on Monday
for the High Line Park Opening.
Too bad about Rupert & Rufus - no American TV shows next season. Who is Rupert? And don't let Sara hear you... I am sure she'll be thrilled that there is no tv show for Rufus in America and he might consider a London stage instead! E.xxx

Rupert Penry-Jones - he was going to do a series in the US but it's been re-cast. He played Adam Carter in Spooks from Series 3 to 6 before RA
took over as the lead. I'm not v keen on blond men but I liked him in Spooks and he was gorgeous as Capt Wentworth in Persuasion.

And he's a really good crier, Audrey. He had some very emotional scenes in Spooks and always delivered a good performance. Oh,
and let's not forget him as Grimani, David Tennant's rival in Casanova. He was so good in the dual scene, so unexpected to see tears streaming
down his face before he shot David.
Tonight's Ep 10 of Robin Hood was great fun, action packed and with some humour (which this series has lacked IMO). I enjoyed last week's more, but I noticed both were directed by one of our best Doctor Who directors, Graeme Harper who also worked on Robin Hood Season 2. I came across this You Tube video of RH Season 3 Sir Guy and, whilst the video itself is not that special, I really liked this cover version of "Mad World" by Adam Lambert. I'd not heard of him before but I gather he won American Idol last year. I don't usually like cover versions but he really made this song his own. BTW Evelyn, don't worry about spoilers as the clips are from the early episodes. Robin Hood 3 Sir Guy - "Mad World" by Adam Lambert D xx

Thanks Doulla for the pic and vids! I don't recall from watching the show the amount of detailing on Guy's outfit. It comes out
better in the photo. RH series finale should be coming soon. While I remember....did you get your Sylvester audiobook yet? I heard someone already recvd
their copy. re: Adam Lambert - He was 2nd place to Kris Allen in American Idol just this past Spring. He's more a "Glam Rocker"
type of singer. Probably fits well in singing musicals b/c he's very dramatic.

It is always interesting to watch how a movie is made, even if it is the most boring scene, no? I mean how many times can you watch a woman getting into her
car?
I wouldn't worry about the clip being removed from Youtube. It is "homemade", not official footage, so the owner of 'copyrights' is the person who took it. Edited to add: Thanks Doulla about that North & South/Persuasion Crossover Trailer. It was an amazing job! E.xxx

She also did an even funnier one for Spooks between Adam Carter and Lucas North but it's not available any more. She obviously has a
'thing' for RPJ and RA...and too much time on her hands.
She's a very nice lady, very talented and highly regarded on the AA; without her we wouldn't have such fantastic screencaps. No sooner does an episode of Robin Hood finish (or anything else RA is in) than she posts them in High Definition on the website. Total respect. did you get your Sylvester audiobook yet? Evelyn, I just got an email from Amazon saying it had been dispatched today. Can't wait. I didn't expect to enjoy the book as much as I did and I kept seeing Richard as Sylvester in my head while I was reading it. D xx

Yay! My Sylvester audio book arrived today!
Listened to the first couple of chapters and RA does some great characters. I'm used to his northern 'lilt' so it's quite funny hearing him speak in an upper class accent. His female voices are v funny, especially the posh old ladies! Between the Sheets I borrowed this from the library some time back when I first started going through RA's filmography. On second viewing it is more explicit than I remember, not so much the sex scenes (you see more on UK prime time tv!) but the things they talk about etc. I really can't make Paul out; I'd hate to be married to someone like that (well, apart from the obvious gorgeousness, of course!). He is so needy and whiney. But in some ways I feel sorry for him because Alona is so pushy and demanding and she undermines him. Yet it's obvious she completely loves him and if he had told her the truth about the girl right from the start I think she would have forgiven him. He seems to have convinced himself that nothing happened between them so you, as the audience, go along with him because ultimately you want to like him. That made his confession at the end more shocking. I must have pushed that bit to the back of my mind first time around as I remember the ending as being more ambiguous. Edited to add a couple of Paul photos - asleep on the sofa (sweet) and a nice profile shot (he looks so young): D xx

His profile is so recognizable. Unmistakeably him! But I'm not going to watch any more Spooks 8 clips incase of spoilers. I know it's going to be impossible to do between now and November, but I'm going to have to keep eyes and ears closed. Speaking of profiles, here are some nice ones...and the neck...very partial to RA's neck... D xx

That's a gorgeous picture, isn't it Audrey. She plays his daughter in Between the Sheets and is such a sweetie. I just really
like his whole pose in that photo.
I'm on a roll...here's another one of I like of him taken during archery training at the Hood Academy for Robin Hood Series 1. He's always such a calm, gentle presence; while all the other actors are being competitive and joking around or showing off, Richard just waits patiently in the background for his turn. And then he steps forward looking like that and you just can't take your eyes off him! D xx

I love this picture. Love his beautiful neck, chin, nose and forehead ....
Doulla, I think you asked me about Marie Lloyd. I'm afraid I don't quite like the film. Firstly Marie Lloyd's life story is quite similar to many celebrities, no more, no less, thus I don't find it that extraordinary. Secondly I can't stand her vulgarity. Thirdly RA's haircut is horrible. If RA wasn't in the film, I wouldn't have endure it to the end. I much prefer 'The Impressionists' which is very well done, and RA is, of course, very attractive as Claude Monet. And I want to be the umbrella holder!!! Click here |

Rosie, the biggest thing that puts me off Marie Lloyd is Jessie Wallace. I cannot stand her! And, from what you say, it doesn't
sound like I'm missing much.
Ah, The Impressionists...how I love that film... And Richard's Claude Monet is completely adorable. That lady in the video has the best job on set, sheltering the precious one from the sun. D xx
