"And after seeing him run in In Bruges, I had hoped that he would give it up... "
No, he runs well! - well, you know - normally. Eva, |

Oh good. Throughout the Bruges chase scene, he ran like some part that should bend, didn't. His feet, or maybe his
knees? It was slightly alarming to see.

Hi Eva,
Ralph appears only for 5-10 minutes in the middle of the film. It is a cameo role but very good and generally the film is very good. I really enjoyed it. |

Mr. Duck and I went to see this at the Tower, which is the oldest theater in Sacramento and now is stricktly an independent theater house.
The film was fantastic! Ralph looked very good with his tan! His blue eyes really stand out against his tan! The Hurt Locker is now playing in all our local theaters but the film has not been advertised hardly at all so I do not think many will see it! It was very good and I was glad to have seen it! happy dances in between."

"and He RUNS I suppose OK, actually I really didn't pay attention on that! "
You didn't pay attention????? Katherine, the poor guy has probably been practicing this for months and you didn't pay attention?!!!!!! Jas says he was good at running, you say he was ok...I can see now that I'll have to check this out for myself. It's all about the positioning of his arms you see. If he raises his arms up to heart level with a serious bend at the elbows at the same time as real sweat seems to ooze from his pores as he runs at a very fast clip then I'd say he did a fienne job but, so help me, if I see him once again with a faint, robotic scurry and arms fully-extended at his sides with the slightest inward bend that looks like he's been hanging around Mikhail Baryshnikov in a scene from Swan Lake then I give up, I just give up. ;-) |

I said he ran normally. The running scene is only very brief and didn't permit lengthy analysis - strictly speaking, one is meant to be thinking about something else in that scene I think, such as the imminent possibility that they will all die, but the director obviously didn't allow for our keen interest in Ralph's running capabilities - but I did not detect any inward bending of arms. Which, btw, are very muscly; I did notice that for some reason. |

It's interesting how the muscles seem to come and go. I'm thinking about the pictures of him at the beach that were posted earlier. He didn't look
very muscly there. Maybe he hastens (runs?) to the gym whenever he's about to film.

I finally got to see The Hurt Locker Thursday. Most annoyingly, I got sick during the movie, and had to leave
10 minutes before it was over. Can someone please tell me HOW IT ENDED! If you don't want to post such a massive
spoiler, ez-mail me. Please.

Yes, thank you Katrin. I caught a bug that's going around. (I'm smiling at your post. It had such a warm, maternal sound to it.

Mr. Fiennes has a bit in the middle of the movie. I won't tell you how it ends, because it's quite dramatic. His part was all over by the time I left.
I just don't know what happened to the main character, who is played extremely well by Jeremy Renner.

A few weeks ago after being on the "outs" with my so-called boyfriend of MANY years, he called and wanted to take me to a movie. He knew that he was in the "doghouse". Playing hard to get, I wanted to know what movie we were going to see. After all, we normally just see what HE wants to see. He said that we were going to see some movie called The Hurt Locker. He had heard that it was a good movie. No other comments were made. Smugly, I said that I would be happy to go with him. Well, I knew that my boyfriend had no idea that Ralph was in the movie. Quivering with anticipation, I looked forward to Ralph's cameo. When it came
(spoiler here) unexpectedly, my boyfriend yelled out loud in the theater while elbowing me that "That is your man!" |
