David was at the opening night of Enron at the Royal Court last night, apparently. So was Mark Rylance. Pictures (one of each of them) here:

Here you go. Only 30p more expensive and you get 5 postcards. If a member orders it for you, you get 10% discount and 5 additional postcards it seems.

Good grief he's so skinny!! He remembers one needs to eat in order to live, right?
I might ask you a wee favour on the RSC DVD, Jas...

That David Tennant, he'd go to the opening of a paper bag.
http://www.whatsonstage.com/photos/theatre/london/E8831254220015/1st+Night+Photos%3A+Simm+Sets+Tongues+Wagging.html I have to say he looks anorexically thin. DVD ordered, btw. It's coming to me and I'll send it on, as it'll be cheaper that way. £13.49, plus a rather extortionate shipping cost of £3.95, making a total of £17.44.

Ok, this will give me a good reason to come to London as soon as I can to pay you back! Thanks a bunch, I'm looking forward to it!
Nice to see David and John on the same picture - he needs to put some weight on. So do I, by the way, my mum just told me... (she's right though, enough is enough, I definitely am too skinny now).

Just bumping this up as there's alot of DT activity going on at the moment.
Waters of Mars release date has been announced as Sunday 14th November, so it looks like the build up to David's finale as the Doctor is gearing up for Xmas Day. Hamlet will also air on Xmas Day so I think my family will be cooking their own Xmas dinner this year! David has been nominated as Best Actor in the Evening Standard Awards and in What's on Stage Awards for his role as Hamlet. This one I have mixed feelings about (from DT.com): David will be making his US TV debut in a hour long comedy drama pilot for NBC. He will be taking the lead role in Rex Is Not Your Lawyer. The show centres on David's character, a top Chicago lawyer, who begins suffering panic attacks and takes up coaching clients to represent themselves in court. NBC green lighted the project in August, about two years after it was first developed. D xx

"David has been nominated as Best Actor in the Evening Standard Awards and in What's on Stage Awards for his role as Hamlet."
Doulla, sorry but David hasn't been nominated for any awards yet! For the Standard awards he's been long-listed, along with many other actors: http://www.thisislondon.c...-revealed.do For the Whatsonstage awards the public has only just been invited to nominate: http://awards.whatsonstage.com/ I've no doubt he'll be nominated for both in due course (the Standard don't do nomination, but they do pick a shortlist), but it hasn't happened yet. Hamlet on Christmas Day! Thank goodness for SkyPlus.

Your link brought me to the RSC shop, Jas. They have hilarious articles in it. I had to laugh out loud when I saw the Ophelia Wooden toy. "Traditional
wooden toy with push button to make Ophelia move."
We must be still and still moving / Into another intensity

Luscious Lenny Nero wrote: Very interesting if it does pan out. Oh gosh, another sitcom set in Chicago. {banging head emoticon here} Title is awful. They need to change it. You'll have to tell me when they plan to air it so I can record the show for you. |

Luscious Lenny Nero wrote:I read that yesterday and it made me nervous. Actually anytime I read "comedy drama" or "dramedy" I get nervous. David does quirky very well, but a full season of it in the usual American TV mold could be soul shattering. I think I read he was just filming a pilot, so there is probably no reason to panic yet. In the meantime, I've enjoyed his hosting of Masterpiece Contemporary on PBS here. I like how he manages to pronounce "contemporary" as one syllable. It's very cute. |

Well, in fact David wasn't shortlisted for Hamlet for a Standard award. 'Tis bad luck.

Hello Lib, how was Milan? Yes, Dr Who was on over the weekend, but I missed it. Hoping it's going to be repeated in BBC4 some time this week.

Did you go to the Brera and is it still wonderful? Tell us about it when you're less stressed.

No, we didn't get the time. We went to Bergamo, Parma, Verona and the Como lake. We did spend the Saturday in Milan, but we stayed outdoors mostly - which
was not a good idea as it was raining a lot

The Castello Sforzesco! No.68 bus I believe.
Edited to say did you have dinner with George at Lake Como? It's beautiful, isn't it? Well, now is not the best time to see it but in fine weather it's gorgeous.
