I just discovered one can watch Wimbledon live on one's pc. Of course, Eva and Clifton won't have any sound.

Sharapova lost--what a surprise!

I've seen so many tennis matches in my youth - it's enough! After I had the chance to watch the Australian Open in 1998 I completely lost interest. (I only notice once a year that Nadal won the French Open again.) O! what excuse will my poor beast then find / When swift extremity can seem but slow? / Then should I spur, though mounted on the wind, / In winged speed no motion shall I know |

Oh, sorry dahut.

That's probably reserved to UK viewers as viewers from other country don't pay the UK TV licence... I wish I could watch it too, I don't think
we've got any sports channel at home where I could watch it. That's one my friend and I have decided to go and see the final game in a café.

Do you think the men's final will Federer and Nadal again? If it is, I hope that Roger does better than he did in Paris. He was barely in that match.

Agreed, Bluekygirl!

I confess, I'm not a Nadal fan. He has this habit of tugging at the seat of his pants that annoys me.

That's why I like him. He's such a brute. He and Roger in his cardie couldn't be more different.

I'm happy that I hadn't had the chance to see the final last night which remains so mysteriously uncommented here.
Are you still under the influence of tranquilizers or is my newspaper wrong in calling it "an unforgettable match"? Edited to say: I'm happy that Nadal won but I wouldn't have had the nerves to follow the match. I am not happy that Nadal won, Roger is a much nicer person!

Sorry that Nadal won, but what a terrific match! It seemed to me (and this may only be my imagination) that American tv showed lots of close-ups between points
so I didn't have to see Nadal pulling at his pants seat so often. That's a relief.

Come on, Sara! There wasn't the Nobel Price for Peace to win after all. O! what excuse will my poor beast then find / When swift extremity can seem but slow? / Then should I spur, though mounted on the wind, / In winged speed no motion shall I know |

Also, do you know them both personally Sara?! Because Nadal seems like a nice guy to me. I heard Federer this morning saying the outcome might have been
different if the light had been better at the end of the match. It might also have been different if he'd played better in either of the first two sets.
Clifton, it wasn't completely uncommented upon - Mama started a thread on the main forum! |

I'm pretty pissed off as I've only been able to watch the first two sets of the match, which were not interesting at all. I would have loved to see
real tennis in the end.
I support Federer, but I guess the best player won last night!

I am also not very happy that Nadal wins 'cause I like Federer better. I missed the final match but saw some extracts on the news, which were really
exciting. Also saw Prince Felip and his wife Letizia (whom I dislike) clapping hands and all teeth.

It bloody well should have been! Jas, no I haven't met either of them. Nadal can still be a nice bloke, I didn't say anything to the contrary, but Federer strikes me as being really nice. And the really nice blokes should win |

Cool, my best friend's just given me a ring, and he's recorded the game after I left so I could watch the last three sets! Bless. He really is the
sweetest guy (he also carried me piggyback at the Mika gig we went to together last Friday (my birthday present from him) so i could get a glimpse of the
stage... that's what friends are for!!
