However, files will only be playable on computer since I had to convert it (unless your dvd player can play AVI files). *Cold Feet* - thanks for those video links, Doulla! Actually, I'm still watching Season 4 episodes so I haven't had a chance to see RA's character yet. Shakespeare ReTold - I really liked the Taming of the Shrew version w/Rufus Sewell & Shirley Henderson. Really cute. Is it Annabel Capper (Richard's gf)? That's the only name that seems to pop up when I do a search. I always thought they met up at LAMDA. Who knows. Because he's so hush hush about the gf, my curiosity goes haywire. But I can see him not wanting to reveal her identity. His legion of female supporters would be so disappointed that he's obviously "taken." Bit of fantasy that there's still hope (in one's mind) since he's not married.

But I'm not sure that's the reason he's so private about it. Not in this day and age. DT has a much bigger fan base than RA, admittedly half of them are male whereas Richard's are mostly female, but it makes no difference to David's fans to know he has a girlfriend. Yet, in other ways, RA is such an 'accessible' actor, judging by all those messages he's written to the AA over the years. And he always thanks fans when they send him gifts etc. And look at how pleased he was when the AA girls were at the BAFTAs; he made a point of going over to talk to them. At the end of the day, he comes across as a nice, thoughtful man and if he chooses to keep some things to himself then that's fine. D xx "He's like fire. And ice. And rage. Evelyn, the last 4 episodes are on their way to you. I really enjoyed the audio cd The Witchfinders. Very different style to the audio cds from Series 1 & 2 and it was good to have a brand new story that we didn't know. As always, Richard's voices were spot on; when I heard him do Little John's voice in a Scottish accent I came over quite unecessary (what is it with me and Scotsmen?). It was much more moving than I expected; for the first time to hear Guy's inner thoughts and how he is too scared to sleep because Marian's voice is constantly in his head. He sounded sad and tormented and angry and RA read the conversations between the two characters so beautifully. Thoroughly enjoyed the interview with RA at the end, how the voice he hears constantly in his head is that of Keith Allen as the Sherrif, a cross between a dalek and zippy. Also that he wanted to keep his leather costume from Series 1 & 2 and rip it to shreds to show how Guy has completely fallen apart. But the new costume designer wanted to give them all a new look, so RA decided they must have all stopped off in Venice on the way back from the Holy Lands and were measured up by the same tailor. She posted in a Spooks thread so I couldn't avoid the spoiler. Thanks for sending the last episodes to me, Doulla! After making 3 dvd coasters, yours is ready to be mailed this week. Not familiar with Zippy but I see the resembleance with Zippy & KA. I think I enjoyed the Witchfinders audiobook more than Sylvester. Sylvester I haven't gotten around to completing yet. Hopefully, I'll get through disk 2 of Sylvester by tomorrow when I meet up with Carolyn & Stella (depending if my Nate is still ill or not in the morning ). Nice review, Doulla. I'm now finally going through Series 5 of Cold Feet. I actually like the stories of the 3 groups of friends. Now I wished I didn't watch some the CF Youtube videos b/c my mind is now puzzled about the Lee (played by RA) & Jo relationship.

Plus there's not enough RA in the Cold Feet show to make it very satisfying. 2 more episodes to go. I may have to watch N&S or Spooks again. Plus, it's difficult to concentrate on my driving when I put Sylvester in my car radio (via iPod). ETA - I did catch up with S & C but Stella was ill. I was hoping the break would do her good. Looking forward to the pics. Some major pieces of news from RA Online: The BBC will not be commissioning a fourth series of Robin Hood. I'm happy with that, I think it is absolutely the right decision. Richard has been nominated in the TV Quick and TV Choice awards 2009 in the Best Actor category. Spooks is nominated for Best Drama Series, and Robin Hood is nominated for Best Family Drama. Please vote for Richard here: TV Quick and TV Choice Awards 2009 I really hope wins; it's no BAFTA but at least it's voted for by the viewing public which is good. Obviously at the C19 (I really must join). What info do you have on it? Was it done before he was famous? It seems quite personal, the fact that he's written down his girlfriend's name as Annie and not Anabelle, and what does the French spy refer to? Sticks that go ping??? And he does have rather nice handwriting... Well...after last week's Robin Hood finale I'm in need of some RA therapy. This RA music video always brings a smile to my face (I wonder why!). Money raised went to 2 charities- Epilepsy Action and the Neurofibromatosis Association . Actually, not much interpretation on the doodle here. Picture was done after he became "famous" I believe. "Sticks that go ping" - someone mentioned RH. I think the doodle itself is awful. I wouldn't keep it myself. It's so haphazard. Here are recent RA photos in a camel suit. Sorry, can't get locate a larger version of the photos. Thanks for the video link, Doulla! Now I can truly say I'm a bonafide RA fan b/c I recognized all his shows in that music video. Also, I find the atmosphere at C19 forum...more lax & fun IMO. I typically see Annette (webmistress of RAonline.com website) post there. ETA - changed the photo links above. Here is the link to the photo given on the C19 forum, but it's not working for me, takes forever to load. New RA photos This is another recent photo taken by an American fan who met him while they were filming Spooks (she's posted it on the RA forums so I'm sure won't mind me posting here). I love the clothes he's wearing, and that big old leather bag of his. I'm not sure how many RA websites there are. I think C19 was the original (it currently has over 7,000 members) then there was a split and the AA was formed and now has over 3,000 members. I'm not familiar with C19 but will check it out when I've got more time (if only to see what they say about the doodle!). RA online is good for quick updates, latest news, what's on tv etc and another website RANet is good for screencaps etc. Wow, did the doodle really sell for that much!! I guess it's not great artwork, but it is quite personal so I guess someone would pay for it. I remember when they auctioned David Tennant's converses he wore in Doctor Who they raised over £1,000 and Billie Piper's shirt was something like £2,000. D xx "He's like fire. And ice. And rage. Re RA Womanizer video, I've finally found out what the pop-up "and for WMG!!!" means when Alice puts a finger up (at 1:20 in Vicar of Dibley wedding clip). It stands for Warner Music Group, I guess re copyright on the song. Shame...I thought it would be something funnier. Edited to add another useless fact - that green T-shirt he is wearing in the photo was one given to him by one of the fans on the AA. Aw, isn't that sweet. Sitting around in front of the TV disappointed with the Wimbledon result. (I was hoping for a Roddick win today ) Here's what someone said about the pic w/the camel suit: "It says it's the Press Night for 'Carrie's War' at the Apollo Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue, June 24th. It's taken outside the front of the theatre - you can see the canopy above the theatre entrance above him, and the behind is the canopy of the Lyric Theatre next door. " Hope the above info gets you somewhere, Eva. If you can find bigger pic of the B/W BAFTA photos, now we owe you big time!! I love how he looks so James Bond-ish in them. re: C19 Forum I think the name is a play on of "19th Century" words. If you take a look at most of the folders, they talk about period type movies/shows and literature, etc. But I'm not 100% sure. re: green t-shirt Is it a Abercrombie & Fitch shirt? Keeley Hawes also has a doodle posted at the National Doodle site. I'm puzzled about the Toby doodle myself.
