What's nice about Ed is that he doesn't have to behave like a guy to be a guy.

E.xxx (who has worn an even more ridiculous Ed-related item of clothing in the house) I'm not even going to ask! I can't believe that T-shirt! Eva...surely not...think of your dignity...your Greek heritage... D xx

Think of my dignity? Oh, come on! It is not THAT bad, is it? How about in the house then, as pyjamas? I already have the marker to cross out words!
I'm not even going to ask! I am going to tell you anyway!

It is supposed to be blood, so some kind of dye... or do they really use ketchup?
It's Harlan's shirt baby!! He died wearing it !! (or shot himself, will check tonight). And YES, it is supposed to be the real thing!

Wow, that's quite something! Mind you, I'm glad I asked. I'd never have figured it out as I haven't seen the film, so thanks for the pics of
him (and you!) wearing it.
The T-shirt seems quite tame in comparison. D xx

But you didn't ask, Doulla! (sorry I spoiled "Down In The Valley" for you). I don't really collect, Evelyn! I spend all my money on magazines & dvds, but if a rarer item pops up I consider it. It is the first item of clothing I ever bought... I did mention insanity and delusion in the RA thread so you can connect the dots yourself! Edward is not a sweater (he said so) and even if there was dna, I'd be damned if I knew what to do with it!

Clone him, like those five cute little Alsatian puppies the other day that were cloned from a 9/11 rescue dog. You could have five cute little Edwards. |

Will you finance the project?
On a serious tone (ha! I am so funny. No, really) 25th Hour was on tv yesterday. Every time I watch it, I find Monty more interesting and a really dignified character. His one bad aspect (being a drug dealer) is so redeemable by all his positive traits. They all outshine the fact that he is a criminal. It is an amazing film. E.xxx

You definitely should, Jas, it's a great film.

Yes, you definitely should. We have discussed it extensively in the past. It is such a well written piece. And stellar acting, from everyone involved. I cannot
remember any other film that I cared so much for every single character...

We had our school summer fair on Friday and I bought the dvd of The Illusionist for £1!!
It's been a long time since I watched it, but I do remember EN looking gorgeous in it. What do you think of the film? D xx

EN looking gorgeous in it
THAT'S what I think of the film!! Seriously, it was one of the surprising films of that year for me. I watched it without knowing much about it (just having seen the trailer) because I watch
every Norton film and it was the one that had me fall head over heels, so it will always occupy a special place in my heart

I disliked the way the Paul Giamatti character had to spell out the "trick" of the movie at the end for the viewers who hadn't been paying
attention. I've been a mystery reader for years so had figured out as it went what the twists would be and that denoument struck me as over-kill. But all
things considered, in an imaginary la Belle Epoque world, it was a nice drama. And the people were all beautiful, weren't they?

Ah, two things I didn't know - that this was the Ed Norton 'thud' moment for you...and that he performed all the tricks himself.
I will watch it with even greater interest at the weekend (I have a whole week of Torchwood to watch, 5 episodes in a row starting tonight). D xx

Let me know what you thought of it on second viewing, Doulla! And btw, here is Edward's name in Russian
Maggie, I don't read that many mystery novels. I have long stopped trying to think ahead of a film (or book), focus on what's going on at the moment and never ever try to guess what the 'catch' is. Movies might outsmart me because of that, but in return I enjoy them a lot more! E.xxx
